Conditions here are mildly wet.  We are over the monthly average for our area and about "normal" for the water year.  The ground is moist, plants look very healthy and biting insects are everywhere.  Summer heat and humidity have returned with high temperatures into the high 80s and low 90s.  People are out walking and so far as this observer is aware, the "drought conditions" for central NC have ended for the time being.
