What a difference a week can make. 6.65" received in the last week, with 5.57 occurring on June 3 and 4.22 of that fell in just under an hour. Too much in that short of a time and we had severe flooding in the area. However, our lake which has been below normal level for some time is now above normal (about 5ft last I heard). Creek is full with good flow. Grass is growing faster and vegetation in general is looking very healthy. Soil is more than damp but not saturated. Birds/wildlife/insects are active. We are 1.2" above normal for June now and I see no reason not to go back to near-normal condition.
