Description:
Another dry week with ETo at 0.54".  Highs ranging between 65-78, lows 47-54, with some clear mornings, some with marine layer lingering to noon.Ruth Lake Reservoir at 100% on June 5th.  Mad River at 6 feet and 90 cubic feet per second/Eel River 9.5 feet and 870 cubic feet per second.  Trinity River 49-55 degrees, Klamath 60 degrees, and ocean 49-54 degrees.  On the drought map the Del Norte and Humboldt coastal zones are officially D0--Abnormally dry.  This weekend, the ban on salmon fishing has been lifted for two days and many fishermen are expected to head out.  There may be several more two-day openings in the coming months, depending how this one works out with its take.  Artists in Humboldt county began their two-weekend Open Studio festival, where about 150 artists from Rio Dell to Trinidad allow people to come and see their studio and how they make their art.  Oyster Festival next weekend in Arcata.  Hillside fields showing noticeable yellowing, though fields near the river bottom remain green.  Bear getting into garbage containers, which is much earlier than normal for my location. Himalaya berries blooming.
