Brignac, Louisiana
This week has been exceptionally dry, with heat indices soaring up to 106 degrees during the midweek. Consequently, lawn growth has slowed down. However, the weed suppression herbicides in the lawn are proving effective. The last of the wild mulberries has been devoured by cowbirds and crows. The flower beds are particularly dry, especially where the petunias have been removed. To ensure adequate water supply for the summer, new summer flowers will be equipped with drip irrigation. Construction on the road in front of my house continues but with lots of dust.
